Mikaela Kahn is a singer/songwriter from Denton, TX. Her music has all of the best traits of top charting artists fortified by phenomenal talent and soulful sincerity. It seems that all of the best talent is either created or found in Texas. For whatever reason Mikaela is not in L.A. or New York but here gracing our North Texas venues with her bright soothing vocals and thoughtful lyrics. With a four song EP under her belt Mikaela is sure to be working on creating a new project in between playing local shows and singing around the country.

Sadly I encountered Mikaela Kahn’s music much earlier than the date this article was written. I first heard her songs around July 2011 only about a month after the creation of Auditory Asylum its self. She should have been one of the first artists that I wrote about but some how I lost track and never wrote the article. Due to this monumental oversight I have missed numerous opportunities to hear her live and that is one mistake that is music blogger is going to rectify this year. Mikaela Kahn, Arielle O’Keef and Summer Ames have three of the most amazing voices heard in Dallas and everyone should hear them once before you die.
