In this world there are some people that live life and there are those that take there experiences and put them on display for everyone to see. Coming from a place were words are colors and rhymes are brush strokes, connecting one form to another, -topic is one of those individuals that is closely connected to the passion that makes life more then a series of moments between sleep and waking.

Putting words to music to express the way he sees life, -topic speaks from a place that is as close to honest as a person can be without going crazy.  To call his music conscious rap would be like trying to call Picasso’s painting amateur art. -topic is an artist versed in the discipline of ancient bards and poets, those who used life as a canvas but also used their words to create the next part of the canvas. Infusing the audience with an inspiration born of shared experiences, the words he uses are the ones born of everyday conversation, familiar yet pushing you to live.

-topic is possibly one of Dallas’s most underrated artists and its also that underdog hold on life that comes across strongest in his music. Listening to his music you have to either respect him for coming raw and unadulterated or disagree with his methods but there is no way you can dismiss him.
